Current Situation

Situation Summary

There was minimal fire activity throughout the night, fire crews continued to strengthen containment lines and work on extinguishing hot spots. Damage inspection is ongoing and 90% complete. Utility crews continue to work within and around the fire's perimeter. The complex consists of three large fires in Eastern Fresno County as well as several smaller fires. Over the weekend, we will continue to see an increase in temperatures and low relative humidity which could contribute to increased fire activity. As Evacuation Orders and Warnings change, we ask that you continue to drive safely throughout the fire area.

Current fire updates:

Flash/Bolt Fire - Palomino & Elwood Rd, Wonder Valley area, 10,375 acres, 41% contained.

Hog Fire - Watts Valley & Hog Mt. Rd, 293 acres, 93% contained.

Strike Fire - 1 acre, 100% contained.

The Red Cross has an evacuation shelter open at Reedley College (995 N Reed Ave, Reedley, CA 93654) for evacuees displaced by the Flash Fire & Bolt Fire in
Fresno County. (People and small animals)
Volunteers will provide safe shelter, water, meals & additional resources to individuals & small pets.
