Current Situation
Situation Summary
Fire activity remained low throughout the night, allowing firefighters to increase containment. All evacuation orders were downgraded to evacuation warnings at 8 pm last night allowing for repopulation, except for the area immediately around the fire. The road closure at Chihuahua Valley Road is now limited to residents only, permitting them to return to their homes. However, residents should stay vigilant for the possibility of reissued evacuation orders if fire conditions intensify. Please use caution and drive safely in the area, fire apparatus and crews will be working in the area. Noise and dust will be constant throughout the day and night as vehicles and crews traverse local roads.
Firefighters will continue their efforts today, with additional access points to the east side of the fire opened by dozers. Conditions are expected to be similar to the past few days, with increased storm cell buildup in the area.
