Current Situation

Situation Summary

The Park Fire is being managed under Unified Command with CAL FIRE and the Lassen National Forest

The fire held within containment lines with limited creeping and smoldering. Fire behavior was minimal due to good overnight humidity recovery. Today will be warmer however favorable conditions are expected throughout the day. Fire is expected to remain within control lines.

Fire crews will continue tactical patrol, removing hazardous trees, and mitigating smokes throughout the day. Extended effort remains in the northeast portion of the fire as they are making progress removing snags, improving control lines and increasing mop-up depth. The southern three-quarters of the incident is in repopulation and recovery phase. Please be cautious on the roadways as repopulations are occurring.
