Current Situation

Situation Summary

The Park Fire is being managed under the CAL FIRE Butte Unit, the CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit, USFS Southwest Incident Management Team 2 and the Lassen National Forest.

State Responsibility Areas of the incident is being managed by the local CAL FIRE units. USFS Southwest Incident Management Team 2 and Lassen National Forest are in command of the Federal Responsibility Areas within the incident.

Minimal fire activity was observed during today's work period. There is some heat and smoke to be found, but that is mainly well inside the fire perimeter and isn't expected to threaten our containment lines. Crews continue to tactically patrol, remove snags, and fall hazard trees. Fire suppression repair is ongoing to mitigate possible adverse effects to resources resulting from fire suppression efforts.
