Situation Summary

The Park Fire is being managed under Unified Command with CAL FIRE and the Lassen National Forest.

There was minimal activity on the fire, islands within the fire perimeter continue to burn overnight. Containment continues to increase.

Crews continue to strengthen containment, deepen mop-up, and remove hazardous trees to ensure the fire remains within its perimeter. Suppression repair crews are working to mitigate any effects to local resources resulting from fire suppression, including collecting hoses that were used during suppression or mop-up.

Heavy rain showers are expected Friday evening, and a flash flood watch has been issued for the Park Fire burn area from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

Crews continue to work within the fire area, we ask that you remain cautious while driving.
