Current Situation

Situation Summary

Throughout the day, the fire showed minimal growth and backing towards the northeast and southeast portions. Firefighters continued to utilize water dropping helicopters to assist in maintaining control lines, although the fire will continue to have spots well within the containment lines which will produce smoke. Today firefighters were challenged with changing weather conditions, however, they were aided by an increase in humidity due to the monsoonal flow which was expected over the fire area. Crews will remain actively engaged to gain additional control over the next several days. Today damage inspection teams worked within the fire area and updated damaged and destroyed structures as noted above.
