How to Apply:

1. Verify that your equivalency or class is recognized by referencing the SFT Procedures Manual (ver. 2008) pg 233 or see link above.


2. Download the Application for Certification Fee Schedule (pg 2 only - see link above).


3. Submit:
   I. Submitting by Mail, please include the following:
   1. Necessary documentation or copies of course completion certificates as described in the SFT Procedures Manual.
   2. Fee Schedule
   3. Check or Money Order made out to “CAL Fire –State Fire Training” for the amount listed on the current Fee Schedule - if applicable.
   II. Submitting in Person:
   1. Necessary documentation or copies of course completion certificates as described in the SFT Procedures Manual.
   2. Fee Schedule
   3. Check/Money Order made out to “CAL Fire –State Fire Training” for the amount listed on the current Fee Schedule or exact cash (we cannot make change) - if applicable. 

   *sorry we do not accept credit/debit cards.

   Note: You may drop off your application packet anytime, but if you wish to receive your equivalency that day, then scheduling an appointment is the safest way to ensure that your equivalency will be processed. Call to schedule an appointment.
