Wildfire Public Education
Established by Assembly Bill 9 (Wood, 2021), CAL FIRE - Office of the State Fire Marshal's Community Wildfire Preparedness and Mitigation Division's Wildfire Public Education Program conducts outreach efforts to regional and local wildfire mitigation groups, including assessing compliance, educating, and informing regional and local agencies, stakeholders, and the public of applicable new laws and regulations.

Wildfire Safety Legislation
Annually, CAL FIRE reports the work completed in fire prevention per Public Resources Code (PRC) Section 4137. Many of these activities and accomplishments have also been reported throughout the year at various legislative hearings, media stories, and to the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection.
